We decided to sleep in this day so we wouldn’t have to come home and nap and could just stay at Oktoberfest through the night. We didn’t drink at the hotel room but we did buy beers and sandwiches once we got off the subway. A friend who Nate and I were going to meet in Florence the next day messaged me saying he was at Oktoberfest in the tent we were in the day before. It was beyond crowded by the time we got there. We ended up ordering some beers and luckily found a table near a guy we met the day before. Him and his friends were all studying abroad from the University of San Diego all around Europe and came to Oktoberfest for the weekend. Met a lot of cool people in that group, and I took a lap around the tent and there was no chance my friend was getting found.

The section we were in was reserved after 15:00 so they brought all of us outside and didn’t let us back in. We all got separated in the mix. Nate and I found each other and I said we need to find the girls, he said no chance because it was so crowded. I said we can’t have another yesterday! In the line to get back into the tent I spotted them and Nate and I got so happy. It’s hard to find people in a large crowd when everyone is wearing the same thing. They were happy to see us too and we didn’t leave each other’s sides the rest of the night. Once we got back in we got a table in the reserved section somehow and then my friend from college fell in love with one of the workers. Nate and I called him over and told him our friend thought he was beautiful and he came and hungout with us during his break. We ended up waiting until about 22:30 for him to get off and then we were gonna go hit the club. None of the girls had ID so we couldn’t get in anywhere and went to a bar, but the Australian was quite drunk and we finally convinced my college friend that it was time to go back even though we did a good job playing wingman all night long.

We made it to the subway and the girls both curved instantly. We had to wake them up and walk back to the hotel, where everyone was to sheets within minutes of getting out of our Oktoberfest attire.

*Pop up notes: I am shocked by my ability to not eat for hours and hours. Back home I’m always snacking whether it’s a handful of almonds or whatever. It’s nice because I don’t have an endless supply of food like I do at home.
