That Irish pub we had dinner at a couple nights ago had a sign for full Irish breakfast out so we wanted to go experience that since we really liked that place and the staff was amazing and helpful. It’s called Aran’s Irish pub if you’re ever in Amsterdam. The full Irish breakfast consisted of two sunny side up eggs which I have come to love after Spain and Amsterdam. It also had bacon, sausage, baked beans (weird concept, but it actually hit), these little patties called Irish pudding, and then grilled mushrooms and tomatoes. It kept us all full until like 19:00 or 20:00.
After breakfast we had two tours planned, the Heineken experience which is a tour of the original Heineken brewery and to learn everything about how it’s made and why it tastes how it tastes. You also get two free beers and a gift at the end, it was amazing. Then we made our way to Anne Frank House which really changed the mood. Standing an hour in the freezing cold was worth the wait for the history filled self guided tour of the Frank family’s hiding place during the holocaust in Amsterdam. Both amazing museums. Actually every museum in Amsterdam had been amazing and there are many more to see than we saw. Our taxi driver told us there was 45 museums in Amsterdam alone.
We definitely made the most of our last day in Europe. We grabbed a bite to eat and reflected on the trip. Nate and I our 6 weeker, and Nate’s parents’ two weeker. Such an amazing trip and experience that’s all coming to an end tomorrow morning when we fly out. I had to spend the rest of my money on some last minute gifts since I knew I could throw away my towel and a jacket to have room in my backpack. Our flights are at different times but we both land in Vancouver and Nate’s parents are going to wait for us at the airport and drive us home.
