Day 23, October 20, Madrid

We woke up from another late night and didn’t feel nearly as bad as we did the night before but we showered and went to museo de jamon for breakfast again and it was so good, this place has yet to disappoint even though we can barely communicate with the waiters. We did another day of exploring, I bought another Sprite and then we ended up going to an outdoor bar and hungout for a bit then it started raining so we went back to the hostel.

I started thinking about how much fun I was having on this trip and how I want to keep going and then I remembered I have friends teaching abroad in cool places so I started looking into it and found a bunch of programs where I could live abroad for a year and teach all week and travel for cheap on the weekends. I spent like two hours doing all that research while Nate took a siesta. New plan! Go home after this trip and work as much as possible to save up and then apply to one of these teach abroad programs.

This was our last night in Madrid so we decided staying out until 4:00 wasn’t the best move since we had another early train to catch so we decided to hangout and take it easy. We went to the hostel bar and met a guy from Nigeria who was raised in London and talked to him for about an hour. Really cool guy, wish we coulda hung out with him longer but he was going on the pub crawl and we were tired. We went to the room and started to pack up, dreading our final goodbye to the nicest hostel we’ve stayed at so far. Turns out my tiredness was mistaken. I was up all night, I guess my body was wired to 5:00 bed time and 9:30 wake up with a little siesta midday.
