Last night we decided to hit la sagrada de familia, a really beautiful church on the outside and in, but it was quite a walk. On our way we found a place to eat and hangout a bit to breakup the distance of the walk. Unfortunately once we got there it was sold out. It was only 13:00, I was so confused how a tour could be sold out if people are constantly cycling in and out but apparently they do online bookings which we didn’t know about. The outside was really pretty though so we hung out a bit before making our way back to the hotel.
Our hotel was in the middle of the train station and the hostel we would be staying at once Nate’s parents left, so we decided to walk to the train stations to reserve seats to Paris. Nate’s parents went to go explore and do their own thing for the first time since they’ve been there and Nate and I were gone about two hours or so, because well, lines. Turns out the direct train from Barcelona to Paris was booked the day we wanted to leave and the day after so we had to book a train to the French border at 8:00 and then figure out how to get to Paris from there, so that should be a fun adventure when the next travel day comes.
We went back to the hotel and had drinks with Nate’s parents and then went to the fountain show. It was crazy crowded, and it wasn’t just tourists. There was a good amount of locals too. It was kinda like the Disney land fountain shows, minus the Disney. But it was fun. Afterwards we decided to have dinner and hangout. We went to a little tapas place on the main boulevard and hung out there a couple hours until our last night of comfortable sleep and an amazing shower would come to an end after we checked out in the morning.
